Goal

Our BCE garden was fully operational and up in running last year. Now it is time to add to our garden and start planting. We need donations of plants, garden soil, stepping stones, electrical work to set up our hydroponic towers, create walk ways to the raised beds, and other gardening supplies. .

Description

Each grade level and ESE has their own raised bed to plant vegetables and fruits they choose. They must care for their garden, take data, and harvest from their garden. Some of the harvest is served in the school cafeteria . The future goal would to be donate food we grow to soup kitchens.

Benefits

Students must know the cycle of growth of the pant, how far apart to plant the plants, what to do to control disease and bugs, what bugs are beneficial, and learn form their successes and failures.
