When a child finds a book they love, they will continue reading if they find another book that is similar to the style of writing, humor or information. Warfield has series books all over the campus. Our second graders have been traveling from classroom to classroom trying to read as many series as they can. Students read approximately 10 books from a series with a staff member on campus and then move to the next series with another staff member. Students choose which series interest them and can read anything that will get them hooked! Our second grade students are definitely hooked on series and we would like to continue the program as these students move into third grade next year. We also have students in third grade who are moving to fourth who really want to participate as well. More books that are on third and fourth grade interest levels will help these students join in.
