| Description | This year I will be moving up to second grade, so I am thrilled to be able to dig a little deeper into the Brain States. My students will also understand that the brain is pattern seeking, so the schedule & routine cards will assist them in feeling they are safe because they know what to do. When friends and families need a few little extra positive thoughts sent their way, we'll utilize the structure of the Wish Well board. |
| Benefits | The benefits of a social emotional education are numerous. Once students are more knowledgable about the brain, they become aware of the importance of a Conscious Discipline classroom. They feel needed and more confident, as a result they are willing to take social & academic risks they might not have been able to do in the past. Ultimately resulting in a more connected school family that is high achieving academically as well as socially. |
