Goal | To raise funds to help students submit their artwork to the Memory Project in January of 2019. |
Description | My 2D Art class and Art Club are creating 20 portraits of underprivileged children in the Philippines. Students can draw or paint 9"x12" (or use any 2D media) to create their image. Supplies are provided for the students to use and they will complete their artwork by the end of December to get it ready for shipping in January. |
Benefits | This project benefits the students by increasing cultural awareness and awareness of issues that affect children - just like them - around the world. They can use their art skills to spread joy and providing a lasting memento that these children may not have an opportunity to receive otherwise. While much of the money donated to the Memory Project helps the non-profit run, 10% of their funding does go back to the children for whom we create portraits. |
