Goal | In my classroom we call our “safe space” (brain break) area headquarters, taken from the beloved Disney Pixar movie Inside Out. This year it is my goal to understand my students’ needs “inside out.” I would like to add to my sensory basket, providing students with calming tools to use when they need a brain break. |
Description | Any items that provide sensory calming or stimulation. Examples include: liquid motion bubblers, glitter sticks, koosh balls, fidgets, small brain puzzles, etc. |
Benefits | These items provide social-emotional regulation for those students who may need it, or even just a brain break. Thank you for you generosity and consideration in enhancing our “headquarters.” |
