Teacher Schmit, Stacy
School Bessey Creek Elementary (BCE)
Grade K-5
Subject Social/Emotional Learning
Goal

We would like to increase opportunities for students to work together in non-academic ways to foster increased social emotion learning.

Description

Builder Boards are different lengths of boards with notches in them that allow the boards to be used to create life size "Lincoln Log" style creations. Students will be able to construct temporary buildings for imaginative play.

Benefits

Working together in creative ways will allow our students to learn about each other, develop skills for group work and compromise, and develop leadership skills. Additionally, students will engage in problem-solving when learning how to physically construct the ideas in their heads.
