Goal

My goal is to use the Usbourne books to promote bonding with my students through read alouds. During this difficult time of distance learning, it has become more challenging to make connections with students. My students come from low income families. At this time , they are ones who especially need emotional support and connections.

Description

Usbourne books are engaging. They have several titles that teach empathy, vocabulary, phonics. Since the books are interactive. the students can still be involved in the read aloud, even through virtual learning!

Benefits

Usborne books are known for helping students develop their vocabulary through engaging and interactive books. 12 of my 15 students are English Language learners; therefore, these book are essential for helping them with their language development. Usborne books have many titles that teach empathy. Since children are living in a different world these days, it is important they understand their feelings and others.
