| Description | This work space will allow me to stand or sit and work comfortably in this at-home work environment. The desk will provide space for me to view and use my textbook materials, program notes, grade books, and other teaching materials. |
| Benefits | This desk will provide the space and comfort I currently do not have in this in-home work environment. I live in a small condominium, and I am currently working from the only dining space I have, a four cubic foot table. My neck is in constant pain from using a district-provided laptop at a table which is not at eye level, and I am suffering physically from sitting all day. The area provides minimal room to arrange the teaching materials I need to perform my duties. I have manuals, legal pads, and other materials on chairs around me. I will use this desk to perform the responsibilities of my teaching position including lesson planning, Zoom meetings with students and staff, keeping grade book records, program notes, and other clerical responsibilities in a comfortable and safe environment. With this system I will be able to stand and sit comfortably at my computer for the required work hours of my 'Virtual Bell Schedule'. My current situation is not productive, nor is it ergonomic. |
