Last year ALL students benefited from one-to-one devices. This year K-2 was only allotted 6 laptops per classroom. After having the devices last year and really seeing the benefit that my students earned from them, I’d like to at least have enough laptops for half of my students.

I currently have 6 laptops and I would like to purchase 4 more so I have a total of 10 devices in our classroom. That would provide half of the students with access to devices at one-time.

Each student benefits from having access to devices. There are many computer programs that provide remediation and enrichment for students. Laptops would not replace paper and pencil work, textbooks, or library materials. Instead laptops would give students access to a larger variety of books as well as computer games to enhance their learning. In a digitally advanced era it is very important that kids receive access to technology, and it’s resources while in school.
