Last year ALL of the students in my class benefited from one-to-one devices. This year K-1 was only allotted 6 laptops per classroom. With our new Benchmark Curriculum, there are many online benefits that students can receive during learning workstations. It would really help if there were enough laptops for at least half of my students to use during this workstation time, as well as for iReady math instruction during math.

I currently have 6 laptops and I would like to purchase 4 more so I have a total of 10 devices in our classroom. That would provide half of the students with access to devices at one-time.

Each student benefits from having access to devices. There are many computer programs that provide remediation and enrichment for students. Laptops assist students by giving them access to a larger variety of books as well as computer games to enhance their learning. Students would use Benchmark Advance online materials, math iReady instruction, and my ELL students need computers for the Imagine Learning program.
