| Description | Scholastic's Scope magazine is a monthly publication that is filled with high interest text for middle school readers. Every issue features narrative or informational nonfiction, drama, paired texts, fiction, and many other essential genres. A class subscription also comes with amazing online resources which work well in a laptop equipped classrooms. Kids have access to additional texts, videos, writing resources and more. |
| Benefits | The use of Scope magazines allows students access to high interest fiction as well as a variety of non-fiction text about the world around us. Past issues have included information about protecting our environment, the effects of cell phone use, the refugee crisis in Europe, as well as articles on science and history. This is a great supplement to our textbook and the students at IMS really enjoy it! |
