Build MIDI instruments from scratch and perform. Introduce students to micro controllers and coding using the Adifruit Circuits Playground Express. For two classes of 30 students each.
Description

Using the adifruit "Circuits Playground Express" students will explore the world of electronics, coding and MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface). I'd like to teach students how to program a micro controller that will be used in the building of an electronic instrument.
Benefits

This project will introduce students to: - The basics electronics. - Teach and give students practice with the concept of inputs and outputs. - An introduction to sensors, how to use them to collect and interpret data. - Provide an opportunity to engage in creative design practice transferring music knowledge to programming code.
