| Goal | My classes are AV and Digital Print in the Career and Technical Education Department. My goal is to acquire 1 graphics drawing tablet per computer station in the classroom for a total of 30 tablets. These drawing tablets will allow my students to utilize Industry standard technology and assist them in creating and manipulating graphics, pictures, and video. My students utilize the Adobe Creative Suite with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, After Effects and Premiere Pro. Students have the opportunity to sit for industry certifications in these programs. |
| Description | These tablets are more precise than using a mouse. They give the students more control using the Adobe programs and increases the quality of their work. Their work will add to their portfolio to prepare them for a future career such as Graphic Designer, t-shirt/product designer, animator, video editor, photographer. |
| Benefits | Students get to interact with technology they might not otherwise have access to use. Some other benefits include that they are able to build a portfolio to take into high school and their future careers. Students will be intrigued by the technology and therefore increase student engagement and success on industry certifications. |
