Goal

The goal of this project to immerse students in a hands-on and real-world project focused on clean energy.

Description

The students in PCE's 3-5 Full-time Gifted Program will participate in multi-age collaborative groups to design an energy efficient wind turbine blade. Students will use a digital-volt meter to calculate the amount of energy being produced by their design. All turbines will be stored in the Skills Lab for all PCE students to use upon project completion.

Benefits

The students will have the opportunity to experience the engineering design process, collaborate across grade levels, and confer with a Systems Operator of a clean energy company.
