| Description | Students will get the opportunity to "adopt" a reading buddy to read to at home. They will fill out an application, sign the certificate, and take a plush dog or cat home to be their reading companion. They will commit to read to their buddy for 20-30 minutes each night. :) |
| Benefits | The boys and girls will have even more motivation to do their nightly reading as they enjoy caring for their pet. Students who read at home increase their stamina and fluency, as well as vocabulary, and are more likely to become lifelong readers! The benefits (and fun!) are endless! |
