Goal | I want to give my students ample opportunities to read and reread the new 2019-20 Sunshine State Junior Readers. By having a set of these award winning books in my classroom my students will have many opportunities to enjoy and respond to excellent literature. |
Description | The fifteen 2019-20 Sunshine State Junior Reading books are selected for their wide appeal, literary value, varied genres, curriculum connections and multi-cultural representations. These books have won their prestige because they were written to develop student interest in reading for pleasure by exposing them to a wide variety of appropriate and high-interest literature. |
Benefits | My young Kindergarteners will be given multiple opportunities to engage with these books helping them to practice their newly acquired reading skills and more importantly, help develop their reading comprehension skills. |
