Although last year was a difficult year, a plus was all kindergarten students were fortunate enough to have one-to-one devices in my classroom They were so helpful and the children loved them. Unfortunately, this year we only received 6 laptops for our classroom.. One-to one devices are now only provided to students in grades 2 and up. I have had firsthand experience seeing the benefits of one-to-one technology in the primary classroom and I would like to continue to provide access to this technology to my students.

Currently I have 16 students and only 6 laptops. I would like to be able tp purchase a few more so that at least half of my class would be able to use laptops at one time.

would like to purchase 4 additional HP Chromebooks for student use. This would allow me to have a total of 10 laptops in the classroom.

Kindergarten students come in knowing EXACTLY how to use a tablet or a phone, however, they lack the ability to use a mouse or trackpad. In our increasingly technology centered world, knowing how to use a laptop is an essential tool for kids.

In our classroom, laptops would not be used to replace textbooks or paper based learning tools- they would serve as a supplementary tool. Laptops can: *Enhance collaboration with other students *Improve student's computer skills *Provide access to learning games for remediation and enrichment
