Goal | My goal is to give my flute players the visual aid of where to direct their air for a more pure sound, removing frustration, and adding visual aids by using the Pneumo Pros in class. |
Description | While students use the pneumo pro, we can create a better visual for students who need the extra support. The Pneumo Pro is a flute head joint that has little fans in front of it to help flute players figure out what direction their air needs to go in to help play in the low, middle, and high registers. Having three Pneumo Pros will be enough to cover all my flutes in each band class we currently have. |
Benefits | Students will have less frustration after practicing on them because they practiced aiming their air in these directions. My flute players will benefit greatly from this as it is something they can do during class with minimal to no sound while other sections are being worked with. This visual aid has been known to be something that helps connect the abstract idea of moving your air to something they can see. Students will have a better understanding of how their instrument works and what direction the air should go to make the flute "speak" correctly which will help them to play more proficiently with less frustration. |
