| Goal | To beautify the mall area of campus with native landscaping and additional seating areas. We would like to create 4 benches with tables and landscaping behind them. |
| Description | We would like to add native/low maintenance landscaping and additional seating areas in the mall area of campus. This will provide more seating opportunities for students before and after school as well as during lunches. The landscaping will make the area more beautiful. The work and planning will be done collaboratively by the Landscape & Turfgrass Management and Building & Construction Academies. |
| Benefits | Students will not have to sit on the ground to read or eat lunch. The landscaping will improve campus aesthetics. Studies have shown that landscaping and being outdoors has positive effects on learning, stress, and reduces anxiety. |
