| Description | I would like to team up with the Building Construction program and design a sensory garden for an elementary school in Martin County. This would include wooden cutouts, garden boxes, plants, chalkboard flowers, etc. I would like to be able to give it away as a prize. |
| Benefits | Elementary schools would love to have more gardening opportunities, but don't always have the resources to build them. If we could build everything at SFHS, then take a field trip to install it, it would be easier. High school students would learn about the planning, designing and construction process. Elementary school students would get to see the project installed and enjoy it the rest of the year. They would also get to learn about the CTE programs that SFHS has and how they help the community while developing job skills. |
