Description | I’m working to transform my math instruction using the strategies outlined in Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics by Peter Liljedahl. This research-based approach focuses on getting students to think deeply, work collaboratively, and engage actively in solving problems. To bring this vision to life, I’m requesting: A student easel to hold vertical whiteboards for group problem-solving A teacher demonstration easel for modeling math tasks Dry-erase markers, string, and erasers to support organization and smooth group work A copy of the Building Thinking Classrooms book to guide me in applying best practices and building a more effective math culture This setup will make math more interactive, visual, and collaborative—just like the book describes. I’m excited to keep learning and growing as a teacher while helping my students become confident, independent thinkers. |
