Goal | Raise funds to purchase 8 new whiteboards for our 6th grade science classrooms. |
Description | In science, learning comes alive through modeling, brainstorming, and problem-solving together. Whiteboards give students the ability to share their thinking in a visual and collaborative way. With 8 whiteboards, each group of students can work hands-on to draw diagrams, plan experiments, and practice critical skills. These boards will be used daily for interactive lessons, labs, and review activities, helping students strengthen their understanding of key science concepts. |
Benefits | Collaboration: Students will work in teams, building communication and problem-solving skills. Active Learning: Whiteboards make it easy for students to test ideas, sketch models, and make mistakes in a low-stakes way. Engagement: Hands-on tools increase participation and make learning more fun. Critical Thinking: Students can quickly brainstorm, revise, and refine their work, deepening comprehension of scientific concepts. Reusability: Unlike paper, whiteboards can be used daily, year after year, making them a cost-effective investment. |
