Description | We would like to take the 1st and 2nd place District winners of Martin County who qualifies in the 2026 Florida History Day Competition, to Tallahassee State College from May 3rd to 5th for their state competition. To make this experience truly unforgettable, our students hope to travel together by bus to Tallahassee—not only to compete, but also to bond as a group and explore new places. Stops like Buc-ee’s and a visit to the Florida Capitol will add excitement and educational value to their journey. The Annett Bus Company has offered transportation at a total cost of $5,398. We’re asking for your support to help cover half of this amount, just $2,699. We’re committed to funding the remaining balance and ensuring every student has the opportunity to participate. Florida History Day is a dynamic program that inspires students to explore the past and sharpen essential academic skills. Working individually or in teams, students research topics aligned with National History Day’s annual theme. This year’s theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History—a powerful lens through which students examine pivotal moments and movements that shaped our world. After conducting in-depth research using primary and secondary sources, students present their findings through exhibits, documentaries, performances, papers, or websites. They compete at school, county, and state levels for a chance to represent Florida at the National History Day contest at the University of Maryland, College Park. Your support would directly impact these young scholars, helping them grow as historians, learners, and leaders. We hope you’ll consider partnering with us to make this journey possible. |
