Many young students have dreams of becoming an astronaut, pilot, or scientist. They want to learn about our universe. They are hungry for real science. Visiting the Kennedy Space Center is important for our 3rd graders because it provides hands-on, interactive, and inspiring educational experiences that make learning about space, science, and engineering exciting and memorable. Students will see boring textbook science come alive at the KSC. The center makes learning engaging through a variety of attractions, from giant rockets and astronaut encounters to immersive simulators and educational play areas. Our goal is to spark curiosity in our universe and hopefully inspire a deeper interest in STEM fields.

CLE students will experience first-hand views of an actual space shuttle, the massive Saturn V rocket, and numerous artifacts at the Kennedy Space Center. They can also enjoy interactive exhibits like Planet Play, a multi-story indoor playground, and simulations such as the Shuttle Launch Experience. The KSC also offers opportunities to meet astronauts and learn about future space exploration. Students will long remember their 3rd grade field trip to Florida's famous Kennedy Space Center. This is an opportunity many of our students may never experience if not for this amazing field trip.
