| Goal | The goal of this project is to design and implement lockbox-based review experiences (similar to escape rooms) that combine puzzles, critical content, communication and teamwork to create memorable, highly engaging learning opportunities for students. These reusable activities will be used across multiple subjects and classes for years to come, providing a fun, team-driven, gamified way for students to review key concepts before assessments. |
| Description | This grant will fund a set of classroom lockboxes used alongside puzzle-based review challenges that transform traditional test preparation into an immersive, game-like experience. Students will collaborate to solve academic clues and unlock each stage, reinforcing key concepts while building teamwork, critical thinking, and excitement for learning. Because the materials are durable and adaptable, they can be used for years across multiple subjects to create engaging, high-impact review experiences for many classes of students. |
| Benefits | Students benefit from this project by engaging in active, hands-on learning that strengthens understanding of key concepts while making review meaningful and enjoyable. The team-based challenges promote collaboration, communication, and problem-solving as students work together to unlock each stage of the activity. By transforming review into a memorable, gamified experience, students are more motivated, confident, and better prepared for upcoming assessments. |
