Grade 9-12
Subject Math
Goal

To teach students how to graph accurately and efficiently. Most of them have never done graphing by hand and this skill is very important for developing fine motor skills, conceptual understanding and good habits.

Description

I teach high school math from Algebra 2 and up, including calculus, statistics, etc. as a part of the IB math courses. Every year, I ask my students to acquire graphing paper notebooks for this class as to make their work easier and more accurate. Though most of them intend to buy one, it may take some a long time for various reasons.

Benefits

As most of the higher level math and calculus involve functions, it is very important that students learn to demonstrate their understanding and ideas graphically. Graphing paper notebooks keep their work neat and easy.
