| Goal | The Jensen Beach High School Environmental Club wants to create a Monarch Waystation in our school courtyard. |
| Description | A Monarch Waystation is a specific type of flower garden that supports migratory monarchs in their route from Canada to Mexico each year. The garden will include milkweed plants as well as flowering nectar plants that bloom throughout the year. The garden will be maintained organically without the use of herbicides of insecticides. |
| Benefits | The garden will benefit Monarch butterflies by providing them with a resting place in the winter time before they continue on their migration route. Students at JBHS will benefit by learning about land conservation, biodiversity, and sustainable gardening practices. |
