Pocket Constitutions for Government Students

Date 08/17/2026
Teacher Utech, Jeannette
School Jensen Beach High School
Grade 9-12
Subject Social Studies
Goal

My goal is to provide every U.S. Government student with a personal pocket Constitution that they can use as a hands-on learning tool throughout the school year.

Description

The pocket Constitution is a small handheld copy of the U.S. Constitution.

Benefits

Having a personal copy of the U.S. Constitution will allow students to regularly reference the document while studying the structure and principles of the U.S. government, individual rights and liberties, the amendment process, and more. By making the Constitution accessible and personal to each student, we hope to strengthen students’ understanding of their rights and responsibilities as citizens and encourage them to see the Constitution as a living document that directly impacts their lives and their role in our democracy.
