| Goal | Students will read the Awesome Earth book that talks about landforms via poetry. Students will work in a classroom station learning more about landforms and creating landforms out of clay and other materials. Students can try their hands and formative poetry writing as well based off the examples from the book. |
| Description | This activity will tie in an award winning book with hands on learning via visuals and physical creation. The book and activities will circulate to various classrooms as a learning center to be used during science, writing or reading. |
| Benefits | Students will better understand how landforms are made and what they look like. This project will provide a fun science tie in to a beautiful book. There is an opportunity for writing poetry as well given the examples in teh book as well. Earthforms is a tested area in grade 5 science. |
