Students will explore soil and identify different rocks after reading the Orange Blossom Book I, Rock that address the rock cycle in fun and great detail.
Description

I will have the book I, Rock along with the activity tub and rock identify kit, circulate to different classrooms as a station to be used during science or reading time.
Benefits

The rock cycle can be confusing. This book is excellent and allowing students to examine up close and identify diffent rocks and soils will help solidify what they learned in the book. The rock cycle and earths systems is an assessed topic in 5th grade Science.
