| Goal | Our goal is to provide our high school’s OPUS chorus students with the opportunity to travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to participate in a national choral competition. This experience will allow our students to perform at a high level, receive feedback from respected music educators and adjudicators, and learn from other outstanding high school choirs from across the country. Through this trip, we hope to: Represent our school and community with excellence and pride. Give students the opportunity to perform on a national stage. Strengthen students’ musical skills, confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Expose students to diverse musical styles, performers, and educational experiences. Celebrate the students’ hard work and accomplishments throughout the school year. Create a meaningful experience that will inspire students to continue pursuing music and the arts. |
| Description | Our Top-Level Chorus OPUS is comprised of dedicated high school singers who have worked throughout the year to develop their vocal technique, musicality, ensemble skills, and performance abilities. Their commitment has earned them the opportunity to travel to Atlanta to compete in a national-level choral competition. The trip will provide students with much more than a performance opportunity. They will experience the excitement and responsibility of representing their school beyond their local community, perform for highly qualified adjudicators, learn from other exceptional student ensembles, and experience the collaborative and cultural aspects of the performing arts. We are seeking community support to help make this opportunity accessible to every student who has earned the chance to participate. Contributions to this project will help offset the costs of transportation, lodging, meals, competition fees, and other necessary travel expenses. |
