| Description | Technology is an essential part of learning in our classroom. More than half of my students are Multilingual Learners (MLLs) who rely on audio support and speaking opportunities to develop their English language skills. Many of the programs and resources we use require students to listen to directions and hear passages read aloud. Unfortunately, the headphones currently provided by the school are not lasting long enough to meet the daily demands of classroom use. Frequent issues with broken headphones, poor sound quality, and nonfunctioning microphones create barriers to learning and interrupt instructional time. |
| Benefits | Providing a class set of durable headphones with microphones will ensure that students can fully access digital learning tools, language support programs, assessments, and intervention resources throughout the school year. Reliable headphones will help students clearly hear instructional content, participate in interactive learning activities, and use microphone features for speaking and language development tasks. This is especially important for our Multilingual Learners, who depend on listening and speaking opportunities to build language proficiency. By replacing the school-provided headphones that have not held up to daily classroom use, this project will reduce learning disruptions, maximize instructional time, and support student engagement and success across all subject areas. |
