PALM CITY, Fla. — Students, teachers and schools will benefit from the Education Foundation of Martin County’s Evening of Excellence | Bids for Kids event, which raised over $200,000. Presented by Morganti, this elegant gala fundraiser was held on Sat., April 20, at Harbour Ridge Country Club.

More than 240 guests attended the “Beauty and the Beast” themed gala, which was selected by Rob Gluckman, CEO of lead sponsor Treasure Coast Urgent Care. Held annually, the event raises funds to assist the Education Foundation with enriching and enhancing the quality of education in Martin County’s public schools.

Guests walked down a “Beauty and the Beast” themed carpet before enjoying cocktails and a variety of hors d’oeuvres inside the clubhouse. A custom-made Cogsworth ice luge featured the evening's signature cocktail.

During the cocktail reception, sponsored by Hedrick Brothers Construction, guests participated in the silent portion of the Education Foundation’s hallmark Bids for Kids auction. With over 550 items in the silent auction, it’s known as the largest of its kind on the Treasure Coast.

Volunteer auctioneer Tom Melander conducted the live portion of the Bids for Kids auction as guests enjoyed dinner.

Stephen Sines, vice president of operations for Morganti and longtime presenting sponsor, said, “This is a great cause for Morganti to sponsor each year because of the importance of students in our community getting a quality education.”

Keiser University, Jeanine Webster & Mel Nobel, Gehring Group, UDT, Proctor Construction, PNC and others also generously sponsored the event.
