EFMC Book Bonanza - Family Literacy Events


The Education Foundation of Martin County (EFMC) is hosting several family literacy events at elementary schools around the Martin County School District.  These free events will provide a dinner for families and a variety of literacy-themed, fun-filled activities to support the district's efforts to increase family engagement and instill a love of reading.

New Worlds Reading Initiative Partner

​The Education Foundation of Martin County is a Regional Partner of the New Worlds Reading Initiative, Florida’s free program that supports students in strengthening literacy skills, building reading confidence, and encouraging a lifelong love of reading. New Worlds Reading delivers monthly free books and activities to eligible VPK students who are not yet meeting age-appropriate standards according to FAST Star Early Literacy and K-5th grade students who are not yet reading on grade level in a Florida public or charter school. Enroll Your Child

Enroll your child today.  New Worlds Reading Initiative (NWRI) will follow up with you on your child's eligibility.  Once enrolled, you will be notified if your child (Pre-k thru 5th grade) becomes eligible at any time after enrollment.    Eligibile students will receive monthly free books and activities delivered to their home.
