Goal

The goal of this project is to provide my 6th and 7th grade science students with access to Science World, a high-quality digital science magazine that strengthens scientific literacy, increases student engagement, and connects classroom learning to current real-world scientific discoveries. Through interactive articles, videos, and multimedia resources, students will develop critical thinking, reading comprehension, and evidence-based reasoning skills while building a deeper understanding of Florida science standards and STEM careers. This subscription will help create an engaging, relevant, and inquiry-based learning environment that inspires curiosity and lifelong learning.

Description

The project, Think Like a Scientist, Read Like an Engineer, will provide a digital classroom subscription to Science World for my 6th and 7th grade science students. Through engaging nonfiction articles, current science news, interactive videos, and standards-aligned activities, students will connect classroom concepts to real-world scientific discoveries. The subscription will enhance scientific literacy, strengthen critical thinking and reading comprehension, and inspire curiosity while supporting Florida science standards in an engaging, technology-rich learning environment.
